This makes a stats junkie very very happy.

OK, I know a lot of people write off the DailyKos.com site as being "radical liberal".  But take 2 minutes out of your day and check out the information they have and will be posting on the presidential and congressional race.

Now, kos has been spot on that the way to fight the image of "radical left" is complete transparency.  His polling info includes not on MoE (which most public polling does), but also sample size (not many do that) and ALL polls that are taken (not just the ones that agree with their position). As a stats and politics junkie, this is GREAT.

Rest in Peace

I just learned that Don LaFontaine passed away on Monday.  For those who don't know, Don is the king of all voice talent.  Close your eyes, think of a movie preview, and think the words "In a world without...", and THAT'S Don.  It's always been a little bit of a dream of mine to get into voice acting when my time as a Database Analyst is over.  Don is a true talent and his deep booming voice will be so missed.

In a world without Don LaFontaine, movie trailers just won't be the same.

Godspeed.

I'm Amazed.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I am.  I've been watching both conventions over the last weeks, and here's a contrast that I noticed.  Interviews at the DNC had questions typically answered using why Barack Obama would be better for the country.  Yet, the interviews at the RNC are answering similar quesions by why Barack Obama is BAD.  I'm watching an interview with Mittens (Mitt Romney), and he has uttered the name Barack Obama 25 times, in a question about Sarah Palin. I think I'm gonna make a game of this.  Like counting Ummms an Ahhhs for bad speakers.
